I was born in a tiny, tiny town in Iowa.

I am a middle child of six.

I grew up on a hog farm. One of my coolest memories is Dad putting baby pigs in a bucket of hot water in the house to keep them from freezing to death. (Baby pigs love Jacuzzis in the winter.)

I am so left-handed that when I broke my left wrist in 3rd grade I couldn’t write anything legible for four weeks.

I like to break man-made rules, but I am working on that.

I have ALWAYS drawn, ever since I can remember.

When I went to college there were no such things as PC’s.

I’m not as young as I think I am.

I don’t know my left from my right…ever. No, I’m serious.

I have a Bachelors of Fine Arts degree with a major in Painting, minors in Drawing and Design.

I have been married to the world’s most generous, gentle, wise man for 25 years. (See I told you I think I am younger than I really am.)

I once tripped over Michael J. Fox, who at the time was kneeling on the ground at the Paramount Studios lot signing a pair of underwear. They weren’t mine.

I lived in LA for five years and loved it.

I like cats, but can’t eat a whole one.

Most of my motivation in life is “because it’s fun” or “because it would be hilarious!” This gets me in trouble.

I love Paris and the French, and I have never had a French person be rude to me. Ever.

I am amazed sometimes that there is still so much beauty in the world.

My junior high school burned down when we were still at lunch…take those fire drills seriously, kids! Later that same year my best friend died.

I broke my knee cap playing ice hockey.

I am relearning how to draw and paint after having a movement disorder since December of 2007.

I am not a fan of Twitter, Facebook or Texting, but I’ll do it if I have to.

Some of my favorite smells are lilacs, plum blossoms and French perfume.

I don’t “know people”, but I do know people who “know people”.

I love to make things. But I have never made a pie.

I like to edit video, it’s like painting in time.
